I love reading Zane Grey books because of the detail in all of his books. He always make be feel that I am on scene within the story.This story is about a team of cowboys having a mission to reduce the lion population in the Grand Canyon of mountain. It brings back Ken Ward, who hase been is a few other good stories. I enjoyed the lion hunt, the chase of the hounds, and the overalll description of the surrounding Grand Canyon. I would recommend this book to a friend.

The book was interesting. Zane Grey is a pretty good writer. This is comparable to his other works. I read the electronic version because it was free. If you want to pass the time, it would be a good book to read.
I've read Zane Grey since I was a kid . I'm 63 now . No one tells western stories better. I've visited the north rim and it's as wild and broken as he describes it.
ENJOYED
My husband is loving this book - EXCEPT for this fact. The format of this classic is TERRIBLE.. Words are cut in half at the end of a line all of the time. It makes it a hard read. The story itself would get a 5 Star rating....the format gets a 1 or 2 star rating.

A good adventure to read in a couple days.
I'm re-reading old favorites and discovering volumes I never saw at the old libraries. Now that I can search online and load new (to me) books on my kindle I've already read several favorites and a few I'd never even heard of. He has his own style, is dated to his generation, but he has a romantic love of the land he talks about and he describes it vividly. Better yet, the sex is nice and clean, these books can be read to children of any age--especially if they love horses, cowboys, and indians.
